Overwhelmed and Burnt Out? Same. Let’s Fix It.

Overwhelmed and Burnt Out? Same. Let’s Fix It.

Overwhelmed, Burnt Out and Living Off Snacks? Same. Let’s Fix It.

Can you believe we’re three quarters through the year already? If September's got you feeling a bit “meh” and those January goals are long forgotten, you’re not alone. The novelty’s worn off, the weather’s weird, and autopilot mode is real.

But here’s the thing: we’ve still got four whole months left and that’s more than enough time to make real changes.

If you need a gentle nudge, the SPP Health Journal might help. It’s a no-pressure space to check in and track how you’re feeling, sleeping, eating and moving each day. With undated daily pages, weekly check-ins, and space for reflections, it’s designed to help you gently reconnect with the version of yourself you want to be. The one you envisioned back in January.

Start with hydration (No, coffee doesn’t count unfortunately)

Maybe it starts with drinking more water. Get yourself a water bottle — we love this one — and set yourself a simple goal: drink two, three, maybe even four bottles a day. Track it in your planner. Celebrate the tiny wins.

You wouldn’t let your kids live off snacks — so why are you?

When life’s chaotic and the kids are screaming and work’s piling up, you forget to do the most basic thing — feed yourself. Properly. Not just a packet of chips at 2pm. This is where a bit of meal prep can change everything. Not all your meals — maybe just the ones you tend to skip. Make lunch easy, satisfying, and ready to go. And pack it properly — in something cute and functional like our Luxe Lunch Bag

Doom scrolling until midnight? Same.

If you’ve been staying up late doom scrolling and waking up feeling flat, tracking your sleep in the Health Journal might be a game-changer for you. Even just noticing your patterns (late nights = cranky mornings) can be the first step to change.

You ask everyone else how they are…but what about you?

You are always checking in on how others are feeling, but how are you feeling? Grab a notebook or journal and write it down. Let it out. If you don’t know how to start, you can read our Journalling 101 Guide and remember there is no right or wrong way to journal.  There’s something powerful in simply naming your emotions, even if nothing else changes. Sometimes awareness is enough to shift things.

You don’t need 10k steps - just start somewhere.

Movement’s another big one — especially if you’re at a desk all day. We don’t need to hit 10,000 steps a day — let’s be real, not many of us have the time (or the energy). But we can set aside 15 minutes just for ourselves to do a little walk, some yoga or a stretch. Make the time and track your healthy habits with a Journal, it might be the motivation boost you need.

These little habits — eating, drinking water, moving your body, getting some sleep — they’re not glamorous, but they’re your foundation. And if you want support building them up again, a tool like the SPP Health Journal can help. You don’t need it. But if you’re someone who likes to see progress written down, or feel a bit more organised and in control, it can be a great companion for the next 90 days.

So let’s make the second half of the year your comeback season.

Let’s finish the year feeling proud, not perfect xx
