What you learned, loved, and left behind.
As August and the Winter season comes to a close, it’s time to look back gently but honestly at the month that was. We've put together ten simple journalling prompts to help you reflect on your thoughts and behaviours, and begin to understand yourself.
Grab a notebook beautiful and take ten minutes just for you. You’re worth it.
1. Where did I surprise myself?
What did you do, say, or handle that made you think: “Oh, I didn’t know I had that in me”?
2. What felt like too much?
What drained you this month? What did you overcommit to - mentally, emotionally, physically?
3. Where did I most feel like myself?
Think of a moment, place, task or relationship where you felt at home in your own skin.
4. What did I keep avoiding, and why?
Look gently at your patterns of procrastination or resistance. What were you protecting yourself from?
5. What emotion kept showing up?
What feeling returned again and again this month - and what might it be pointing to?
6. What challenged me, and what did I learn from it?
Write about a difficult moment, conversation or decision. What did it reveal about you?
7. What am I letting go of?
What’s one mindset, habit, or recurring thought that doesn’t get to come with you into next month?
8. What do I want more of?
Think of a feeling or experience you loved this month.. Now, brainstorm 1-2 small ways you could schedule more of this into next month.
9. If next month had a theme, what would it be?
Choose one word, phrase, or vibe that you'd like to guide you next month.
10. What big goal am I prioritising next month?
Set an intention for yourself. If you could complete just one thing next month, what would it be?
